Happy official simmer! To celebrate, I figured why not offer my most summery (and hot) book I’ve written yet.
The Way We’re Meant to Be by Kendra Mase
“Marry me.”
Evie Stovall just might have discovered what’s under rock bottom.
Kicked out of her creative writing program and home at the Ashton Institute of Art is bad enough; her only saving grace is her job as a pro-submissive that she is desperately trying to keep a secret from her tame traditional parents. With her life spinning out of control, she certainly doesn't need to add the notorious womanizer and wrecker of her life, Devon “Devil” Hardtman, asking for her hand in fake marriage to the never ending list.
But things are getting desperate, and not just on her end. Considering her worst enemy’s offer may be making the biggest mistake of her life.
Or one that lands her exactly where she’s meant to be.
The Way We're Meant To Be is a marriage of convenience, enemies to lovers, contemporary romance novel. Based in Ashton, it is a part of the inter-connected series. The Way We're Meant To Be can be read as a stand-alone summer romance as well as alongside The Strings That Hold Us Together and Words That Burn Like Ash, where everyone finds their own unconventional sweet and steamy love story.
But in this case, you can absolutely read it all on its own and won’t miss out on anything!
The Way We’re Meant to Be isn’t one of the books I recommend most often. You might’ve noticed since it is in the Ashton series (and also so many people I don’t think realize you can read them by themselves). In fact, sometimes I get a little nervous to recommend my first few books because I know just how much I’ve grown as a writer since I first wrote them.
It's Okay to Grow
The other day I considered taking down the Ashton series for sale. The Strings that Hold Us Together, Everything You Never Had, Words that Burn like Ash, The Way Were Meant to Be— all of them. Gone. It’s all too easy to hit un-publish after all. Then, that would be it. No one would read them again. Or, at least, no one would ever read those books again on…
But there is still a special place in my heart for this steamy marriage of convince love story I wrote (even if I would change quite a few things in this book if I rewrote it now). It doesn’t mean that it isn’t still wonderful, and a good read when you want something to for your slushy to cool down with at the beach.
I hope you enjoy it.
