Fall is here and to say that I am very much ready for it is an understatement. I’m excited about the colder weather and the layers I have to wrap myself in to stay warm. I’m happy when I see the leaves turn orange and yellow before falling to the ground where you can step on them with a crunch during your after-dinner walk outside. These past few weeks have been filled with activity and stress (both the good and bad kind) and so fall coming feels like a blanket slowly being tucked over my shoulders telling me that it is going to be ok.
Just stay inside.
Be cozy.
Read a book.
Listen to the rain falling against the windows.
Breathe.
I can’t say that I have been following this kindhearted Fall’s advice, but this has been my current... lately. And it can only go up from here, right?
Since I moved back in July, my reading has come to a bit of a standstill. It feels odd, not to be reading or constantly devouring a new book that I become slightly obsessed with from the moment I open up the first page and can’t set it back down until I finish it, even if that takes me into the late hours of the night. But, I have a feeling that soon that will change.
Hopefully.
At least my reading of Substack hasn’t been too effected. Lately I’ve read...
