Romance Con is almost here!
When I first signed up for Romance Con which feels like ages ago, I waited eagerly for a response. Would I be one of the authors who got to go out and meet readers? Would readers want to meet me?
To be honest, at first when I put my name into the form to be considered as an author, the entire thing still felt a bit small and exciting. When I was accepted as an author, even more so.
I was going to be a romance author at a romance book convention. My first convention as an author (though not my first book convention ever. I went to the the last or second to last ever Book Expo in NYC years ago as a part of my university’s literary magazine).
Now, we are here. And I have a lot of information to share with you if you are heading to gush over your favorite romance authors with me. Because Romance Con isn’t just a small event anymore. No. Authors including Lyssa Kay Adams, Kennedy Ryan, Christine Riccio, and… Ashley Poston (please excuse me while I get far too excited to meet my currently romance writing idol possibly in person).
SEPTEMBER 6–7, 2024 - MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN
Romance Con celebrates the empowerment, passion, and creativity that is at the heart of the romance genre and its community.
During the signing time, you can find me surrounded by other amazing romance authors. I’ll be at table 304.
If you can’t find me, yell. Hopefully I’ll hear and wave you over.
Books I’m Brining
At my table you will be able to purchase my books with cash or through Venmo. Also, looking into how to set up Paypal currently if anyone is interested in that option, but at the moment, unsure.
I will be bringing along with me…
I have the least amount of copies of the Ashton Series. I will also only be selling the original (un-revised versions) of The Strings that Hold Us Together. I have about 5 of them I’m hoping to see to a good home (even if the first few chapters look a little different from the current edition you can find and read now. However, if you are interested in the Ashton series, you will still be able to.
If I run out of books, you’ll be able to scan a QR code to purchase any of my books, which I will order and send out to you ASAP when I return home from Romance Con. It’ll be like the fun just keeps going!
I’ll also have a variety of stickers (I’m thinking about a few freebies and also a few, donate what you to the author if you’d like to support and take some of the more fun stickers (though I must say, this round I didn’t make too many “extras” due to shipping times and prices— we will see how they go!).
The fun also doesn’t end there.
See the Panels
I will be a part of two panels during Romance Con. One on Friday and one Saturday.
On Friday I will be a panelist on Miss Independent detailing self-publishing romance novels.
On Saturday, I will be moderating (I’m slightly terrified of running out of good questions to ask, so leave some in the comments if you have any I should use) The Hallmark Effect talking about small town romance books.
Feel free to stop by and cheer me on. Pretty please?
